This letter came to us from Sheila who adopted an OES mix named Measles -- a.k.a. MO:
As you may recall, we started the process of adopting Mo about this time last year. You all kindly put him on the plane and he came to us by air. He's been a very different dog than the newfie mix he replaced. To put it mildly, he is a ball of energy.

This beautiful big Old English Sheepdog and Great Pyrenees mix was left behind by her family. They moved away and left her in the yard. Lucky for her, new neighbors had moved in next door and they were willing to take care of her. John and Phyllis were new to the area but knew this girl needed help. They called MoKan OES Rescue for assistance. This girl was a matted mess and full of fleas. It was agreed, Phyllis would foster Annie until we could find her a home. Annie went to the vet and was groomed. Annie was a great girl right from the start. She made herself at home, learned to use the doggie dog and was a fun and loving girl. Anne was ready to find her perfect home.
Julie and her daughter found Annie on Petfinder and fell in love with her. A meeting was arranged and Annie found her perfect home. Annie is now a city girl and having a fabulous indoor life.
Thank you to John and Phyllis for taking in this girl and helping her to find her new home.

Long distance relationships never work, which is why Molly's new family drove in from Indiana to pick her up. What a happy puppy! She's going to be a welcome addition in Indiana. I just hope that state has enough food to feed her, because she could better than all the boys... Congrats Molly! |

Our gentle giant Rocky spent his first day in his new home today! We picked Rocky up with Annie, Sammy and Molly in Springfield. He was instantly the perfect dog. Velcro was the best description we had of Rocky because he loves attention. He doesn't ever want to be farther than arms length from getting petted. Both of his new owners are veterinarians so he will obviously have the best care any OES could have. We're excited to get updates in the future from this guy! Thanks for giving Rocky love! |

Well that was fast! We picked Annie and her family up in Springfield on Saturday and as of Monday, she has a forever home... Karen and her family came to visit all the dogs, and eventually settled on Annie. She's perfect for their family, because she's great around kids. Another awesome success story from Missouri! Thank you all! |

April, who has taken on the name of Riley, since she was so riled up to be with her new owners, has been adopted! Jackie and Ron have added Riley to their family. This is great news for everyone. With one lady sheepie in the house already, Riley is in the perfect hands to make sure she has a much better life from here on. Thank you both! |

We love it when dogs find forever home, especially when it's just around the corner from us in Kansas City. An ecstatic 11 year old and her mother were gracious enough to take Maggie and make her their dog. They had just lost an OES to disease and saw so many similiarities between their previous dog and Maggie that they just had to have her. Thank you Geri!

Thanks to the kind heart of Sheri in St. Louis, another perfect OES has been rescued and adopted! Summer, who now has become Bailey, was introduced to Sheri at the St. Louis OES Club fundraiser, called Sheepiepalooza. They fell in love and never turned back. Thanks to Sheri for opening her home to a truely great dog. Bailey will love that giant park! |

I told you he wouldn't last long and he didn't. Brosnan gets to live with Mr. Morrison, who was looking for a best friend that went to work with him, ran with him and slept with him. These two are a perfect match. Thank you for adopting him! |

Peyton was adopted this morning by Susan and Randy Johnson. They had just lost their 9 year old sheepie to a sudden tumor, so Peyton is going to provide them some much need companionship. I think Peyton will love their home and going on car rides everywhere the Johnsons go! Eli is still being fostered, but he's going to find a great home soon! |
